Short summary
Educational initiatives can improve the uptake of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) courses at higher education and continuation into careers in STEM. Arctic Frontiers, a non-profit organisation, has been running projects since 2012. The programs include workshops, mentoring, career seminars and excursions. This study outlines the main activities, the aims, and the best practices. In addition, analysis of the reach, impact and success of the programs is provided.
